WBC Muaythai recently announced the latest update to their female Muay Thai World rankings. April 2022’s update sees 15 of the UK’s female fighters included in the rankings.

The women’s Lightweight World champion, Niamh Kinehan, is top of the list. She will go on to make her first defence in Australia on June 25 against #2 challenger, Shannon Gardiner.

One of the UK’s all-time greatest female fighters, Iman Barlow, retains her #1 spot in the Super-Bantamweight division.

Another highlight sees Scotland’s Judy Humber climb to #3 in the Featherweight division. She defeated Ruslana Vyniavskaya at Super Champ to earn the spot.

The busiest division for UK fighters is at Super-Featherweight. No less than five UK female fighters occupy spots in the top 20 of the World rankings in that category.

Elsewhere, the UK hold three of the top five spots in the Flyweight division. Lisa Brierley, Dani Fall and Grace Spicer all fly the flag for the UK at 112lbs. Meg Corwell also enters at #15.
