Muay Thai superstars Tawanchai and Saemapetch collided in an epic bout at ONE: HEAVY HITTERS earlier today.
Coming off an unfortunate loss to debutant Rittewada Sitthikul back in November, #1 ranked Bantamweight Saemapetch Fairtex put his friendship aside to do battle with Tawanchai in Singapore.
The bout would last less than 3 minutes however, as Tawanchai floored Saeampetch with a thundering punch, dropping Saeampetch to the canvas.

He made it to his feet, but as referee Olivier Coste continued the count, Saemapetch’s legs weakened, visibly still stunned by the strike, and the referee waved the fight off.
The winner, Tawanchai, had missed weight for this bout, making it a catchweight bout at 66.45kg, almost 1kg over the Bantamweight limit.
When questioned about it after the fight, Tawanchai admitted he is still assessing his ideal weight category, and Bantamweight may not be suitable for him.
He continued by saying he would like to continue in the Featherweight division, where he’s previously competed against fellow-Thai Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong, and go on to challenge for the Muay Thai world title in that division.
The current Featherweight Muay Thai World champion, Petchmorakot Petchyindee Academy, is on an active four-fight win streak in ONE Super Series, having previously beaten stars such as Yodsanklai Fairtex, Pongsiri PKSaenchaimuaythaigym and Magnus Andersson.
