Thananchai Knocks Out George Ferreira On RWS Muay Thai

Thananchai Sitsongpeenong | RWS Muay Thai

Thananchai Sitsongpeenong continued his dominance on RWS Muay Thai with another knockout victory this past weekend. The ‘Slim Reaper’ took less than 2 minutes to dismiss his Brazilian opponent George Ferreira in their 157lbs bout at Rajadamnern Stadium.

The victory now extends his win streak to 3-0 since his 2024 tournament semi-final loss to Rittewada Petchyindee Academy. All three of those victories coming by way of knockout.

Thananchai’s Knockout Rate on RWS Muay Thai

Another knockout victory saw Thananchai improve his record in RWS Muay Thai to 15 wins from 18 appearances. Furthermore, 10 of his victories have come by way of knockout — a 66.7% knockout rate and the most amount of knockouts from any fight in RWS Muay Thai history.

Potential Move To Middleweight To Challenge Petchmorakot

In his post-fight interview, Thananchai told the media he is eyeing up a move to Middleweight. Of course, the current Rajadamnern Stadium Middleweight champion is Petchmorakot, who he beat in the 2023 tournament semi-finals.

As announced last week, Petchmorakot will be making the move back down to Super-Welterweight in his next fight. He’ll be challenging the current Rajadamnern Stadium 154lbs champion Daniel Rodriguez in a superfight for the Super-Welterweight title on October 11.

However, Petchmorakot remains the Middleweight champion so he could be involved in another superfight, this time against Thananchai, later in the year.
