Last night, the Scottish Muay Thai Rankings released their update for January 2019.
Taking the system adopted by the Thai Fighter UK rankings, the Scottish subsidiary ranks fighters based on previous performance against higher ranked fighters and removes [inactive] fighters who haven’t fought under Muay Thai rules for 12-months.
In the -55kg division, Griphouse’s Callum McGowan remains top after beating Stephen Irvine at Victory IV who comes in at #3. Mondo Woodcock occupies second place.
Keith McLachlan remains top of the -59kg division with Boxfit Glasgow‘s Tam McCourt in at #2 and Michael Moore completing the top three.
The two Glasgwegian youngsters David Sinclair of Griphouse and Paul Murphy of GTBA come in at #6 and #7 respectively. They face each other at Evo Thai Boxing Series in Glasgow on 30th March.
Aberdeen Combat Centre occupy two #1 spots as Owen Trykowski and Keith Middleton top the -72.5kg and -76kg categories. After four-fights unbeaten, Lewis Hanratty comes in at #3 in the 61kg division.
In the female rankings, Amy Pirnie remains top of the -50kg category after beating Yasmin Nazary who holds onto #2.
Aberdeen Muay Thai‘s Shelley MacDonald takes the #1 spot in the -55kg division with a win over Michelle McKay, with McKay’s Griphouse teammate Erin Kowal in at #4.
The Griphouse also appear in the -57kg category where Ailsa Currie remains #1, and Farah McAdam at the top of the lonely 63kg+ division.
