Nico Carrillo has responded to a public drug test call-out from Superbon by publishing his official ONE Championship anti-doping notification, confirming a negative result from an in-competition test carried out on the night of his kickboxing debut at ONE Fight Night 46.
The exchange has added a sharp new edge to a rivalry that appears to be building toward one of the most compelling champion-versus-champion showdowns in ONE Championship.
The call-out came from Superbon during a Thai media scrum at Superbon Muay Thai Academy in Bangkok. The featherweight kickboxing champion directed his question at the assembled media, saying: “Can somebody get him drug-tested?”
The comment was captured on video and circulated widely on social media, drawing significant attention from the combat sports community.
Nico Carrillo’s response
Carrillo did not wait long to answer. The ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion took to Instagram and published a ONE anti-doping notification dated 26th August, confirming that an in-competition test administered to him in Bangkok on 15th August had returned a negative result.
The letter confirmed that analysis found no substances or methods prohibited under the current WADA Prohibited List.
That test was carried out on the same night Carrillo stopped Zhou Jiaqiang in the second round at ONE Fight Night 46, making his promotional kickboxing debut at Lumpinee Stadium.

Carrillo’s coach JP Gallacher also entered the exchange, responding under a post of the Superbon video shared by Thai MMA influencer @priya.mma30.
Gallacher wrote: “This guy and his big mouth. Nico lives rent free in his head,” before attaching the same negative test letter to his comment.
