By The Numbers: Ladies Muay Thai Super Champ Tournament Stats And Analysis

Tomorrow in Bangkok, Thai Ch8 promotion Muay Thai Super Champ will crown their very first ladies champion in a 56kg four-girl tournament.

The four competitors, from four different countries around the World, all reside in Thailand and are no strangers to the popular Ch8 weekly events.

Sawsing Sor Sopit (Thailand)

By far the most experienced in the tournament, Sawsing has had over 200-fights in her career, holding an impressive 83% win-rate.

She has shared the ring with two of her opponents at Sunday’s tournament. With her most previous bout against Ukraine’s Ruslana Vyniavskaya ending a draw at Super Champ last month, and a points win over French fighter Souris Manfredi at the end of last year.

A regular at the Phuket stadiums in recent years, the tough Ukranian has had a mixed set of results in her 13 professional fights in Thailand, but a well-earned draw against Sawsing at Muay Thai Super Champ shows she has the capabilities to win the tournament tomorrow.

Souris Manfredi (France)

With 37 professional fights, the Frenchwoman Souris Manfredi is a 2 x French, 2 x European and Thailand Stadium Champion.

Training at Lookyamo Training Camp in Pattaya, Manfredi recently went down in the history books at the World Lethwei Championships, becoming the first KO winner in the women’s division.

Can she avenge a loss to Sawsing should they meet in the semi-final or final of the tournament tomorrow?

Malena Garcia (Argentina)

With just 3 losses in her 25-fight professional career, Argentinian fighter Malena Garcia is another worthy competitor for the Super Champ title this weekend.

Malena has also totalled 60 amateur fights in her young career, winning Gold at the 2016 IFMA Sudamerican championships, and competing in the IFMA Panamerican and World Championships in 2017, before moving to Phuket, Thailand, where she now trains out of Sutai Muay Thai.
