Earlier today, ONE Championship owner Chatri Sityodtong took to social media to make the announcement of the biggest fight card in Filipino history when they bring ONE: Dawn of Heroes to Manila on 2nd August.
As well as the recent announcement of Jonathan Haggerty‘s first Flyweight Muay Thai world title defence against Rodtang, it has also been confirmed on the ONE Championship website that Scotland’s Chris Shaw will make his debut on the same card.
Former UK #1 and current WBC Muaythai world #14 Chris Shaw will face the indomitable Thai star Neunglanlek Jitmuangnon in a Super Series Muay Thai Bantamweight bout at the Mall Of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines on Friday 2nd August.
After a loss to Craig Dickson at POS 28, Shaw will be looking to get back to winning ways and claim another victory over a strong Thai opponent after a solid win against Rambo Phet Por Tor Aor at YOKKAO 38 in March earlier this year.
His next opponent, Neunglanlek Jitmuangnon is a regular at Lumpinee, Rajadamnern and Omnoi Stadiums and has fought some of the best -140lbs fighters in the world, including world #4 Tawanchai PK Saenchaigym and #5 Kulabdam SJ Piekuthai.
When asked about the upcoming bout against Neunglanlek, Shaw said;
“I’m really happy to be part of ONE Championship after signing a six-fight deal. It’s the biggest stage in the world for Muay Thai.
“I can’t wait to fight another top Thai and another Lumpinee Stadium champion!”
