Liam Harrison makes ONE Championship debut this Friday

A defining year for ONE Championship draws to a close this Friday 7th December with their final fight card of 2018; Destiny of Champions live and free on the ONE Super App from Kuala Lumpar at 6.30pm MYT / 10.30am GMT which features the debut of Liam Harrison.

Asia’s biggest sport media property, ONE Championship, revolutionised combat sports in 2018 by introducing Muay Thai and Kickboxing divisions to their roster, giving elite fighters a global stage to showcase our sport alongside some of the World’s best MMA stars inside the ONE cage.

Earlier this summer, ONE annouced an agreement with the UFC which included the addition of pound-for-pound MMA star Demetrious Johnson to the ONE roster. Further announcements soon followed with elite fighters such as kickboxing sensation Georgio Petrosyan, and UK Muay Thai stars Liam Harrison, Charlie Peters and Jonathan Haggerty all joining the Asia-based combat sports promotion.

As the first to showcase a mixed fight card of MMA, Muay Thai and Kickboxing bouts all inside a cage, ONE has captured the attention of fight fans around the World and offers all fights live and free through their ONE Super App.

The last fight card of the year, Destiny of Champions, takes place at the 16,000-seater Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpar, Malaysia this Friday and features the debut of Liam Harrison.

The Bad Company star will make his debut against two-division Lumpinee Stadium champion Petchmorrakot Petchyindee in one of the four Super Series Muay Thai bouts on the fight card, headlined by the near 300-fight Muay Thai veteran and multiple-time World champion Yodsanklai Fairtex.

Harrison, who has been training at Cross Muay Thai in Kuala Lumpar ahead of his ONE debut, took the fight against the multiple-time Lumpinee Stadium champion Petchmorrakot on just eight-days notice after countryman Charlie Peters withdrew from the bout due to a back injury.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Harrison said;

“I want to impress the fans and have them walking out the stadium saying, ‘Wow, that Liam Harrison fight was amazing'”

“He’s up there with the best. He’s beaten the likes of Petchboonchu and Saenchai – he’s definitely elite level”, Harrison added when asked about his opponent.

With the ONE World title in his sights, ‘The Hitman‘ is eager for an impressive performance and convincing win on the Global stage this Friday.
