Thursday, September 15 — Today, ONE Championship revealed the full fight card for the next event on September 29. ONE 161 will be headlined by Petchmorakot vs Tawanchai, where the Petchyindee star will make his fourth defence on the Featherweight Muay Thai crown.
As well as that, three more huge Muay Thai bouts were confirmed today. The 2021 Sports Writers Association of Thailand Fight of the Year, Ferrari Fairtex, will make his debut in the ONE circle. He is set to face Han Zi Hao in a Bantamweight Muay Thai contest, listed as Bout #3 on the lead card.
In Bout #5, we will see Sangmanee make his return to ONE Championship. The ‘Million Dollar Baby’ hasn’t been seen in the ONE circle since his knockout loss to Kulabdam more than two-years ago. Since then, he has suffered his fair share of losses on the elite Muay Thai scene in Thailand. He has lost to Capitan, Rungkit, Tapaokaew and Ferrari Fairtex to name a few. He will make a return to Muay Thai in 4oz gloves to face Zhang Chenglong on at ONE 161 on September 29.
The featured bout on the lead card will see a huge rematch between Captain PetchyindeeAcademy and Alaverdi Ramazanov. The pair met in a Bantamweight Kickboxing bout in January 2021, where Capitan secured the title with a second round knockout victory. Since then, Capitan loss the Kickboxing crown to Hiroki Akimoto, and will now turn his attention back to Muay Thai rules. Ramazanov has only made one appearance since the loss to Capitan, where he earned a first round knockout of Pongsiri P.K.Saenchaimuaythaigym in November 2021.
