ONE Championship has confirmed a flyweight kickboxing matchup between Akif Guluzada and Johan Estupinan for ONE Fight Night 44. The fight takes place on Friday, June 26 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok. It is the latest addition to a stacked Prime Video card.
Azerbaijani sensation Guluzada brings a 20-3 career record into the contest. The 20 year old is unbeaten in ONE so far. Estupinan is a 23 year old Colombian looking to bounce back from a difficult stretch.
Akif Guluzada looks to build on perfect ONE run
Guluzada is a young gun out of Team Mehdi Zatout and Team Chingiz Allazov. He has gone 5-0 in ONE Championship across challenging opposition. The Azerbaijani only has one ONE kickboxing outing on his record so far. This is his second promotional appearance under kickboxing rules.
At 20 years old, he is already one of the most exciting prospects on the global stage. Every ONE win on his record has come against quality opposition.
Johan Estupinan eyes the rebound
Estupinan comes from JCFernandez and Team CSK in Colombia. He won five consecutive bouts following his ONE debut. Back to back losses last year broke that momentum.
This fight marks his first kickboxing appearance under the ONE banner. The 23 year old needs a statement win against one of the division’s brightest young talents.
What is at stake
A win here keeps Guluzada in the conversation for bigger flyweight kickboxing fights. For Estupinan, victory could restart his rise inside the promotion.
