Next weekend, ONE Championship return for ONE 157 headlined by two Muay Thai World title defences.
In the main event, Petchmorakot Petchyindee Academy (164-34-2) will make his long-awaited return to the ONE circle to make his third defence of the Featherweight Muay Thai championship.
He is set to face two-time WMC Muaythai World champion, Jimmy Vienot (51-14-1), who makes his debut in ONE Championship.
In the co-main event, newly crowned Prajanchai P.K.Saenchaimuaythaigym (338-51-3) will make his first defence of the Strawweight Muay Thai title.
After defeating Muay Thai legend Sam-A Gaiayanghadao to win the title back in July last year, Prajanchai will take on Joseph Lasiri (42-12), who is coming off a big win over Asahi Shinagawa in his last ONE Super Series bout in December.
As well as the two World title bouts, ONE 157 also features the first round of the new ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix championship tournament.
The four quarter-final bouts:
- Jonathan Haggerty vs Walter Goncalves
- Rodtang Jitmuangnon vs Jacob Smith
- Savvas Michael vs Amir Naseri
- Superlek Kiatmoo9 vs Taiki Naito
There is also a further two “alternate bouts” for the Grand Prix tournament. The winners of these two will qualify as a replacement should any of the eight Grand Prix fighters be unable to compete throughout the tournament.
Flyweight Muay Thai Grand Prix alternate bouts:
- Panpayak Jitmuangnon vs Josue “Tuzo” Cruz
- Sherzod Kabutov vs Denis Puric
As well as the 8 Muay Thai bouts at ONE 157, there is also two Kickboxing bouts.
Featherweight Kickboxing Grand Prix semi-finalist, Davit Kiria, will take on ONE debutant Mohammed Boutasaa, and a Heavyweight clash between Rade Opacic and Guto Inocente headline the lead card.
