Current ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World champion, Allycia Rodrigues, will make her long-awaited return to ONE Championship. The Brazilian has been out of action due to maternity leave since winning the title back in August 2020.
After giving birth to her son a year ago, Allycia Rodrigues returned to full training early in 2022. Earlier this week, she posted on her social media to reveal her return to ONE Championship.
Earlier today, ONE Championship official published that Allycia Rodrigues will face Janet Todd at ONE on Prime Video 5 on Saturday, December 3. The bout will be a world title unification contest between the current and interim champions.

During Rodrigues’ leave, the ONE Atomweight Kickboxing World champion, Janet Todd, has turned her attention back to Muay Thai rules. In her quest to become a two-sport world champion, Janet Todd has racked up three straight victories under Muay Thai rules. She defeated Alma Juniku and Anne Line Hogstad before going on to claim the Atomweight Muay Thai interim world title against Lara Fernandez.

Now, Janet Todd will meet the division’s champion, Allycia Rodrigues, to unify to belts. They will meet at ONE on Prime Video 5, scheduled to take place in the early hours of Saturday, December 3 (Friday, December 2 in the USA).
Meanwhile, Anissa Meksen continues to make her mark on the ONE Atomweight division. Last weekend, she picked apart Thailand’s top fighter Dangkongfah Banchamek. Many fans believe Meksen should be next in line for a shot at the world title, but first she has a mixed-rules bout against Stamp Fairtex to focus on in January.
After the unification bout between Allycia Rodrigues and Janet Todd in December, it would seem most likely that Anissa Meksen will be the next challenger to the undisputed Atomweight champion.
