- Beckham misses weight by 0.8lbs for Rajadamnern Stadium title fight against Bento
- The fight goes ahead but Beckham is ineligible to win Rajadamnern Stadium title
Bento is still able to win Rajadamnern Stadium title
The Rajadamnern Stadium title bout got a shake-up at the RWS Muay Thai weigh-ins today. Beckham came in 0.8lbs overweight for the Middleweight clash against Emerson Bento.
The pair will still compete on the September 23 card, however, Beckham won’t be able to win the title. If he wins the bout, the title will remain vacant. But, Bento came in at the agreed weight, so he is still able to win the title.
It will no doubt be a historical moment in the sport if Bento is victorious against Beckham. But the question on everyone’s lips will be — who does he defend it against?
The other middleweight’s Reza and Joe Ryan also compete on the card tomorrow night. It was revealed earlier in the week that the winner of this bout could potentially face the new champion.
