Friday, September 24 — Capitan continues his reign as ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing king as he defeats Mehdi Zatout in the co-main event at ONE: REVOLUTION.
The Petchyindee Academy fighter, who defeated former champion Alaverdi Ramazanov to win the title back in February, solidified his spot as the best in the division with a unanimous points win.
After an even first two rounds, Capitan’s power came into effect in the third round.
As his opponent, Mehdi Zatout, began showboating and dropping his hands, Capitan capitalised and landed some heavy punches.
Zatout showed a strong chin however, as he shook off the affects of Capitan’s punches and ended the round.
With a sense of urgency, Zatout came out with a fast pace in the early part of round four, but to no avail.
As the rounds went on, the paced slowed as both fighters seemingly accepted the result — much like they do in the stadiums in Thailand.
Capitan earned a points win on all three judges scorecards.

Immediately after the bout, Capitan answered questions in a post-fight interview with Mitch Chilson.
When asked if he wants to move back to Muay Thai rules to challenge the current champion Nong-O, Capitan responded saying he wants to remain under Kickboxing rules and defend his title.
