The 2021 IFMA Muay Thai World Championships is set to kick-off today, on Monday, December 6, in Bangkok, Thailand.
The IFMA Championships makes its return to live competition, with thousands of athletes from almost 100 countries around the World ready to take part.
Amongst the athletes, professional Muay Thai fighters of all levels will represent their respective countries, including many of the elite Muay Thai fighters in Thailand.

Capitan Petchyindee Academy (real name: Anueng Khatthamarasri), the current ONE Championship Kickboxing World champion, is set to kick-off his campaign in the Male Elite 67kg category. He will face Malaysian, Mohammed Mahmoud in the opening round on Day 1.
Also in action in Ring A on Monday, will be elite Muay Thai star Superball Tded99 (real name: Weerasak Tharakhajad). He will face Austrian fighter Rahmuddin Khalili in the first round of the stacked Elite 63.5kg division.

Day 1 will see a total of 144 bouts contested across three rings, with predominantly Male categories taking place, as well as Youth bouts. Later in the day, the Elite Female 48kg, 54kg and 60kg divisions kick-off in Ring C.
