On Saturday, April 22, Jonathan Haggerty stole the show at ONE Championship yet again. The former Flyweight champion dismissed the Bantamweight king, Nong-O Gaiyanghadao, in the main event at ONE FIGHT NIGHT 9.

The British Muay Thai superstar made history with a first round knockout of Nong-O. He became the only fighter to defeated Nong-O in ONE Championship and also the first to become a two-weight Muay Thai world champion.

Earlier in the week, before the bout against Nong-O, Haggerty seemed confident in his pre-fight interviews. In one particular interview, he was heard saying that once he beats Nong-O, he’d like to give Liam Harrison another shot at the title.

As UK Muay Thai fans are eagerly anticipating the developments of this story, Chatri Sityodtong has hinted at a possibility. In a recent episode of Kickin’ It with Liam Harrison, the ONE Championship boss said they’ve discussed a potential event at Wembley Stadium.

Whilst nothing is set in stone yet, it’s a clear sign that the ONE boss has the UK Muay Thai fans’ desire in mind. Stay tuned to Liam Harrison’s YouTube channel for the full episode with Chatri Sityodtong, due for release tomorrow.
