ONE Championship will kick-off 2022 with an action-packed schedule of six live events taking place in the first quarter of the year.
On Friday, January 14, the 2022 campaigns launches with ONE: HEAVY HITTERS, then just two weeks later, ONE: ONLY THE BRAVE, will take place on Friday, January 28.
After weeks of rumours, earlier this week ONE Championship finally released the full fight card for ONE: ONLY THE BRAVE.
The 12 fight card, which features six bouts on the lead card and six bouts on the main card, features the highly-anticipated ONE Kickboxing World Grand Prix semi-final bouts.
Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong vs Davit Kiria
After defeating former ENFUSION Kickboxing World Champion, Tafun Ozcan, in the quarter-final bout, Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong will take on Davit Kiria in the first semi-final bout at ONE: ONLY THE BRAVE.
The Georgian Kickboxing star, who was considered one of the outsiders of the tournament, shocked the world with a huge third-round knockout of Enriko Kehl in the quarter-final bout.
He will now meet Sitthichai for a third time in his career, having previously lost the two in semi-final tournament bouts at GLORY Kickboxing in 2015 and 2016.
Marat Grigorian vs Chingiz Allazov
In the other semi-final bout taking place at ONE: ONLY THE BRAVE, Marat Grigorian will face Chingiz Allazov in another trilogy bout.
The Belarussian, Allazov, impressed in his second ONE Championship appearance, when he defeated Samy Sana with a vicious first-round body shot in their quarter-final bout.
He will now square up against Marat Grigorian for a third time in his career, having already faced him twice in 2013; the first being a no contest due to an illegal elbow, and the second a points victory to Grigorian.
Smilla Sundell vs Diandra Martin
Another intriguing ONE Super Series contest on the card will see the opener between Australia Diandra Martin and Sweden’s Smilla Sundell.
The young Swedish prodigy, Smilla Sundell, signed a deal with ONE Championship more than a year ago, but now she is 17 she can finally make her debut.
She will face tough Australian fighter, Diandra Martin, who is coming off a huge win over Yolanda Schmidt in her last bout at Siam2Sydney.
