With more than 100 professional bouts in her career, Iman Barlow will represent Team GB for the first time and is a strong favourite in her opening bout against the Indian.
Should Barlow advance from today’s quarter-final bout, she will face the winner of Sweden’s Patricia Axling and Russia’s Maria Klimova, which takes place in the bout before Iman Barlow enters the ring.
Both potential semi-final opponents are also strong favourites to win the division.

Patricia Axling is a five-time Swedish Muay Thai champion, a 2017 European Championship gold medallist, and 2019 Baltic Open and European Championships Silver Medallist.
The Russian, Maria Klimova, won gold at both 2019 European and World Championships, as well as collecting gold at this year’s Commonwealth Games (CIS Games 2021) in Russia.
Assuming Barlow advances from her quarter-final bout today, she will compete against either of these two fighters in the semi-final, scheduled to take place in Ring C, on Friday 10th December.
UPDATE: Earlier today, Iman’s younger brother, Thai Barlow, lost his opening bout against Lumpinee Stadium and Channel 7 Stadium champion, Mongkolchai.
