This week, ONE Championship will host a double event. Normally taking place on a Friday, instead ONE 161 streams live on Thursday, September 29. Less than 48 hours later, ONE on Prime Video 2 will stream live in the early hours of Saturday morning.
ONE 161 will be headlined by a huge world title bout. Current ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World champion, Petchmorakot (เพชรมรกต) will defend his title against Tawanchai (ตะวันฉาย).

Tawanchai has been in formidable form since joining the ONE Championship roster. Despite a narrow, split decision loss to Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong, he has registered three victories. Sean Clancy, Saemapetch Fairtex have all fallen by knockout to the striking superstar.
He will now stake his claim to become the next Featherweight Muay Thai champion when he takes on reigning champion, Petchmorakot. He won the title against Pongsiri P.K.Saenchaimuaythaigym in February 2020 and has since defended on three occasions. Yodsanklai Fairtex, Magnus Andersson and Jimmy Vienot have all tried and failed at dethroning the champion.
As well as that, we have three other Bantamweight Muay Thai showdowns. The lead card is headlined by Capitan PetchyindeeAcademy taking on Alaverdi Ramazanov in a rematch. The pair met under Kickboxing rules back in January 2021. On that occasion, Capitan dethroned Ramazanov to win the ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing world title. They will now meet under Muay Thai rules at ONE 161.
Elsewhere, we see the ONE debut of the 2021 Sports Writers Association of Thailand Fighter of the Year, Ferrari Fairtex. He is set to take on Han Zi Hao in a Bantamweight Muay Thai bout.
Sangmanee will also make a return to the ONE circle, more than two years since his last appearance. He takes on Zhang Chenglong in a Bantamweight Muay Thai bout in the co-featured bout on the lead card.

ONE 161: Petchmorakot vs Tawanchai will air live and free via the ONE SuperApp and ONE Championship YouTube channel. The event takes place on Thursday, September 29.
The lead card is scheduled to start at 6pm SGT (Singapore Time) / 11am BST (British Summer Time). The main card begins at 8.30pm SGT / 1.30pm BST.
