On Saturday, April 23, Victory Promotions will return for the first of three scheduled Muay Thai events in 2022.
The Victory League, a new concept created by the Victory promoters, will feature four males and four females competing in a league-style format across all three events.
The first of which will see four bouts taking place on the main card at VICTORY 8 this Saturday, April 23.
The concept will see each fighter gaining point towards their league position for every round that they win, plus additional points for a knockout.
The purpose; to make more entertaining fighters from the opening bell and reward fighters for performances throughout the year.
As opposed to a normal knockout tournament, the Victory League will see all four competitors come up against each other over the course of the three Victory events in 2022.
Fighters are paid purses for each of the three fights throughout the year, but also compete for a league bonus should they win the league after all three events.
This weekend will see the first round of bouts in both the Men’s Welterweight League and Women’s Super-Flyweight League.
