British prodigy, Joe Ryan, flew out to Thailand earlier this month ahead of a big fight at Fairtex Fight. The 18-year-old has been training at Danger Training Camp in Pattaya in preparation for his first professional fight in a major stadium in Thailand.
On Saturday, October 29, he will face the vastly experienced, Alex Bublea — a familiar name amongst UK Muay Thai fans.
The Romanian-born fighter spent many years training out of The Knowlesy Academy in London. ONE Championship stars such as Jonathan Haggerty and Liam Nolan were amongst his training partners.

As well as elite level training partners in the UK, Bublea also trains with the best fighters in the world in Bangkok, Thailand. Tawanchai, Sangmanee and Muangthai are amongst his training partners at P.K.SaenchaiMuayThaiGym.
Over the years, “Ulfheddin” has competed on some of the biggest promotions in the world. A regular at MAX Muay Thai over the years, he’s also competed at Triumphant in the USA. Whilst in the UK, he’s competed on Roar Combat League, Combat Fight Series, MTGP and many more. He also recently competed under Kard Chuek rules at THAI FIGHT, losing to Nong-O Chor.Hapayuk on points.
Five-years-ago, Alex Bublea competed at Lumpinee Stadium. Back then, he was asked to shave off his distinctive beard. He won the bout vis knockout but vowed to not fight there again as he wanted to grow back his beard. Now though, rules have relaxed somewhat, and he has since competed on multiple occasions at the ever-growing Fairtex Fight Promotion.
This weekend, he welcomes the young and talented Joe Ryan to the Lumpinee Stadium stage for the first time. Since turning 18 and competing under professional rules, Joe Ryan has been unstoppable. A force to be reckoned with throughout his junior career, Ryan has now carried the momentum into his adult career.
