Marie “Snow Leopard” Ruumet made it two-from-two in title defences on Saturday, stopping Iranian challenger Roghiyeh Mohamadiyan in the third round to retain her Rajadamnern Stadium Women’s Flyweight title at RWS Muay Thai’s Rajadamnern World Series 198.
The Estonian champion is now 3-0 in flyweight title bouts at the iconic Bangkok venue and improves her professional Muay Thai record to 8-4-0 with a 25% finish rate. It was the first stoppage win of Ruumet’s title reign, with her previous two championship outings — the inaugural belt win over Zaidania Looksaikongdin in February and her first defence against Jitti SorJor Chiangmai in May — both going to the scorecards.
The Snow Leopard finds her finish
This was the second round-three stoppage of Ruumet’s career, mirroring her R3 knockout of Wanfai Kiatniran at RWS Muay Thai in November 2025. It also makes her one of the most active title-holders on the RWS roster — three Rajadamnern Stadium title fights in under four months, and three wins.
Mohammadiyan was the first Iranian challenger to step into the Rajadamnern ring for the women’s flyweight belt, and the bout extends Ruumet’s record over Thai and international opposition since she dropped down from bantamweight in late 2025.
A 112-pound run built on a 118-pound loss
Ruumet’s flyweight title run can be traced back to a setback. In February 2025 she challenged Barbara Aguiar for the Rajadamnern Stadium Women’s Bantamweight title and dropped a decision. She then rebounded with the November KO of Wanfai before moving down to 112 lb, where she has not lost since.
The drop to flyweight has paid off: an inaugural title win against Zaidania Looksaikongdin on February 28, a first defence against Jitti SorJor Chiangmai on May 2, and now a stoppage of Mohamadiyan on June 13 — all at the historic Rajadamnern Stadium in Bangkok.
What’s next for the Snow Leopard?
With no immediate booking announced, Ruumet’s next opponent will likely emerge from the contenders circling the division. The Estonian remains the only non-Thai woman to hold a Rajadamnern Stadium belt at 112 lb, and her active schedule keeps the queue moving.
For now, the Snow Leopard has the Saturday night she wanted — a finish, a defence, and another notch on the Estonian flag at the Mecca of Muay Thai.
