Marie Ruumet’s first title defence has been confirmed.
The Estonian fighter will put her Rajadamnern Stadium Women’s Flyweight World Title on the line against Thailand’s Jitti SorJor Chiangmai on May 2 at RWS Muay Thai.
History Already Made
Marie Ruumet made history back in February when she defeated Zaidania to claim the inaugural Rajadamnern Stadium Women’s Flyweight Championship.
It was a landmark moment for women’s Muay Thai at one of the sport’s most prestigious venues. Now, just two months later, she returns to defend it.
Jitti SorJor Chiangmai represents a stern first test. The Thai challenger will be fighting on home soil with the backing of the Rajadamnern crowd behind her.
Ruumet has been here before though. She’s already proved she can handle the pressure of a world title fight at Rajadamnern. May 2 is her chance to show she’s here to stay.
