Nico Carrillo put the Bantamweight division on notice after his sensational performance against Muangthai on Friday, June 23. The Scottish powerhouse streamrolled the elite Thai fighter, earning a second round knockout.
Carrillo put on a clinical performance, over-powering Muangthai, landing numerous sweeps in the first round. Later in round two, he wore the Thai down, landing heavy strikes and dropping him with a big elbow.
Muangthai recovered and made the count, but the writing was on the wall. Carrillo swarmed Muangthai with a flurry of punches, dropping him twice more to earn the stoppage victory.
The win also earned Nico Carrillo another $10,000 knockout bonus. Not only that, but Chatri Sityodtong also awarded Carrillo with an official six-fight deal worth $100,000 for ONE Championship.
Nico later took to social media to talk about the victory;
