The main event sees American-Filipina striker Buntan defend her strawweight kickboxing title against Austrian powerhouse Hemetsberger in a revenge mission.
Their first encounter for the Strawweight Muay Thai belt ended in defeat for Buntan. Hemetsberger dropped Buntan twice in the first round en route to an unanimous victory. Now, with Buntan’s championship on the line and the bout contested under kickboxing rules, the stakes couldn’t be higher.
Buntan will look to leverage the rule change to her advantage, utilising her crisp boxing combinations and technical prowess. However, Hemetsberger arrives with a solid kickboxing background, brimming with confidence after her performance in their initial meeting. She is eager to prove that victory was no fluke and capture championship gold.
The co-main event features an interim featherweight Muay Thai title clash between Shadow Singhamawyn and Nico Carrillo. The winner earns the right to face Tawanchai upon his return from injury, adding significant implications to an already explosive matchup between two of the division’s most dangerous competitors.
In his last outing under muay thai rules, Shadow earned his position as a worthy challenger with a second round spinning backfist knockout against Bampara Kouyate. With an impressive 50% knockout rate coming from a range of weapons, Shadow will certainly be no pushover.
Standing across the ring from him will be Scotland’s Nico Carrillo, who has been undefeated since switching to Featherweight. He scored back-to-back stoppages over Thai veteran Sittichai Sitsongpenong and American fighter Luke Lessei to prove he is ready for a chance at the championship.
