ONE Women’s Atomweight Kickboxing World Champion Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom will make her second title defence against Greek striker Antonia Prifti at The Inner Circle 28 on Friday 28th August.
The bout takes place at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. It is live for members via live.onefc.com.
Phetjeeja: A Champion Built on Dominance
Phetjeeja enters the contest as one of the most decorated female strikers on the planet. The 28-year-old Thai holds a remarkable career record of 210 wins and 6 losses, with 69 finishes.
She joined ONE Championship and immediately made her mark. Four consecutive TKO victories in Muay Thai earned her a main roster contract. She then captured the ONE Interim Women’s Atomweight Kickboxing World Championship with a victory over legendary Anissa Meksen in December 2023.
Phetjeeja unified the title against Janet Todd to become the undisputed atomweight kickboxing queen. She successfully defended her ONE Atomweight Kickboxing World Title against Japanese veteran Kana before stepping up to challenge Allycia Hellen Rodrigues for the ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Title.
Despite a hard-fought effort, she came up short in that two-sport pursuit. Now she returns to kickboxing with a point to prove.
Antonia Prifti: The Most Dangerous Challenger Yet
Standing in her way is 24-year-old Greek kickboxer Antonia Prifti. She arrives with a stunning career record of 25 wins and 3 losses and a collection of world titles gathered from across the globe.
Prifti holds the K-1 Women’s Flyweight Championship, claimed by defeating the same Kana that Phetjeeja previously beat in a title defence. She also holds a victory over fellow ONE Championship striker Tessa De Kom.
August 28th marks Prifti’s ONE Championship debut. No woman has beaten Phetjeeja in a kickboxing contest. Prifti arrives believing she can be the first.
