Rustam Yunusov Stays Unbeaten with Decision Win Over Decho at ONE Friday Fights 155

Rustam “Tomahawk” Yunusov stayed perfect with a gritty win on Friday, May 22. The Russian teenager edged Thai clinch specialist Decho Mavinn Muaythai by unanimous decision. It was the main event of ONE Friday Fights 155 at Lumpinee Stadium.

The win pushes Yunusov’s professional record to 17-0. He arrived in Bangkok knowing his opponent would try to drag him into the inside game. He had answers ready.

How the fight unfolded

Decho made the clinch his home in round one. He worked sharp knees on the inside and stepped in with punishing knees on the outside. The Thai edged the opening frame on volume and control.

Round two saw Decho lunge back into the clinch and continue punishing with knees. Yunusov tried to swim free, but the Thai held on like an octopus. When they separated, a straight punch caught Yunusov on the chin and left him shaken. The Russian stormed back with combinations that rattled Decho and swung the momentum before the bell.

Yunusov came out in the third firing elbows into Decho’s temple. The Thai fired left and right hands back like pistons. Both men stood in the centre of the ring and traded knuckles to chins. The judges gave it to Yunusov on the cards.

What the win means

Yunusov beat one of the division’s craftiest operators to stay unbeaten. He represents One Chance and Tomahawk Kamilov Team. At 19, he is one of the most promising rising stars on the ONE Friday Fights conveyor belt.
