Ryujin “Shindo” Nasukawa delivered on his promise of a memorable debut, stopping Thongpoon PK Saenchai in the second round of their strawweight kickboxing bout at The Inner Circle 23.
The ISKA World Champion wasted no time making an impression on the global stage. The younger brother of Tenshin Nasukawa, Ryujin had promised a knockout. He delivered exactly that.
The Fight
Thongpoon came out aggressive in the opening round. Ryujin absorbed the early pressure and settled into his rhythm in the second.
A right hook snapped Thongpoon’s head back. A knee to the midsection followed, stunning the PK Saenchai Muaythaigym fighter. Ryujin seized the moment immediately.
Five unanswered shots came in quick succession. The referee had seen enough and stepped in at 2:00 of the second round. Thongpoon has now lost his last three in a row, and five of his last six fights.
A Family Name Lives On
Ryujin Nasukawa improved his record to 19 wins and 3 losses with the finish. The Team TEPPEN affiliate announced himself to a global audience in the most emphatic way possible.
The Nasukawa name needs no introduction in combat sports. On Friday night in Bangkok, Ryujin made clear he intends to build his own legacy.
