The young Irishman Tadhg Gannon announced himself on the world stage in emphatic style today at RWS Muay Thai.
Tadhg Gannon beats Parsa Aminpour at RWS Muay Thai
The unbeaten 17-year-old dismissed Parsa Aminpour in the first round, stopping him with a devatating knee inside 2 minutes.
Tadhg Gannon, who trains under Collie Mahon at Dublin Combat Academy, has been making a mark in Europe in recent years.
In the last 12 months, he collected the DAMEJ 8-man tournament title on the Hungryside Supershow in Scotland. He also beat Karl Ryan to win the WMO Muay Thai Super-Lightweight International title in December 2025.
Then, he went on to defend his international title and win the WMO Muay Thai European title against Finlay Smith earlier this year.
The win over Parsa Aminpour improves his unbeaten record to 14-0, but it was the style in which he did it that was more impressive.
Tadhg displayed some slick evasion and clean counter striking before digging a pin-point accurate knee into the ribs of Parsa to end the fight early.
With a dominant win like that, Tadhg Gannon hasn’t only announced himself on the world stage, but he’s put the whole Super-Lightweight division at Rajadamnern Stadium on notice.
