Youssef Boughanem’s next opponent pictured training with Nico Carrillo

Lorenzo di Vra training with Nico Carrillo

Youssef Boughanem is set to compete again on November 12. He will face Italian fighter, Lorenzo Di Vara. The event will take place at Alpha Fight League in Brussels, Belgium, on November 12. But I hear you ask, “who is Lorenzo Di Vara?”.

Lorenzo Di Vara is an Italian Muay Thai fighter, training out of his own gym, LDV MuayThai Gym in Lecco, Italy. Lecco is a picturesque town in the southern point of Lake Como close to the northern border of Italy.

Lorenzo Di Vara has spent the past few years competing against some of the best fighters around Europe. He holds wins over the likes over Jacopo Tarantino, who recently fought the UK’s Joe Craven at MTGP. Earlier this year, he battled out a close contest against Muay Thai legend, Sudsakorn Sor.Klinmee.

As well as his world title bout against Youssef Boughanem in November, Lorenzo Di Vara has another huge bout scheduled before the end of the year. He is set to arrive in the UK to face rising prospect Joe Ryan on December 17.

The bout is scheduled to take place on Alex Forman’s “MASDA Fight Night” in Joe’s hometown of Liverpool. They will contest for the ISKA Muay Thai Middleweight World title.

This week, Lorenzo Di Vara had a visit from another UK fighter, Nico Carrillo. The “King of the North” has been touring the USA, teaching seminars in Los Angeles and Florida. Before returning to the UK, Nico Carrillo has travelled to Italy where he has been pictured training alongside Lorenzo Di Vara.

Nico Carrillo is also in fight camp preparation, with a huge bout coming up next month too. He will face Rambo Phet-Por.Tor.Aor for the vacant WMO MuayThai 154lbs title at Lumpinee World Championship on November 2.
