The ONE Super Series was inaugurated in 2018. The first ever Muay Thai and Kickboxing bouts in ONE Championship took place at ONE: Heroes of Honor on April 20, 2018. Sam-A Gaiyanghadao became the first ever ONE Championship Muay Thai World Champion. He defeated Sergio Wielzen for the inaugural ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World title at ONE: Unstoppable Dream on May 18, 2018.
