The 56th edition of ONE Friday Fights goes down this weekend. Featuring 10 Muay Thai bouts and 1 MMA bout, it’s set for another night of all-out mayhem.
Ferrari Fairtex vs Mavlud Tupiev
After two straight losses in 2023, the resurgence of Ferrari Fairtex is well and truly on. He is now on a three fight win streak with his most recent win coming against Antar Kacem on January 12.
A fourth straight win could see him eyeing up a match-up against a Bantamweight top 5 ranked opponent. However, he faces a tough task against Mavlud Tupiev this weekend.
Despite a rocky start to his ONE tenure against Muangthai in January last year, Tupiev scored a huge win against former champion Alaverdi Ramaznov immediately after that.
After another loss to Yod-IQ, he then got back to winning ways with a two fight win streak against Rambo and Yodphupa.
Puengluang vs Dentungtong
In the co-main event, Puengluang will be looking to continue his dominance in the Flyweight division. The Thai star went 5-0 in 2023 with three wins coming by way of knockout.
He’ll be up against Dentungtong, who is 3-1 in ONE so far and coming off back-to-back wins. He’s already 1-0 in 2024, with his last win coming against Petsirichai on January 12.
Another win for Puengluang though will surely see the new father earn the six-figure ONE Championship contract. Earlier this week, he told ONEFC.com what it would mean to him;
Since I knew I would be a father, it made me fight harder than ever before. If in future my son went back to watch my fights, he will see how much his father fought for him.
