ONE Atomweight Kickboxing world champion Janet Todd is scheduled to make her first defence of the title against Phetjeeja this weekend.
The Californian Muay Thai fighter won the strap back in pre-Covid times of February 2020, defeating the former champion Stamp Fairtex.
Since then, she has crossed sports back to Muay Thai, where she claimed the iterim ONE Atomweight Muay Thai world title during Allycia Rodrigues’ maternity absence.
She went on to lose the unification bout against the Brazilian champion, which was Todd’s first loss in ONE since her debut against Stamp Fairtex in February 2019.
Meanwhile, Phetjeeja has steamrolled her way through the division and picked up the interim Atomweight Kickboxing world title by beating all-time great Anissa Meksen.
Now the pair will clash in a unification bout, which will be Janet Todd’s last fight before retirement.
The 38-year-old told ONEFC.com it’s time for her to move on to a new chapter of her life as she pursues motherhood.
