USA’s #1 Luke Lessei arrived on the ONE Championship stage in style. He went to war in a memorable Featherweight Muay Thai clash against Jo Nattawut at ONE Fight Night 17 on December 8.
The pair came out swinging from the very first bell. Lessei showed his range of striking arsenal with his teeps and elbows, but Nattawut pushed the pace with his heavy boxing.
Nattawut found success with his low kicks which seemed to bloodied up Lessei’s leg, but the American star kept moving forward and returned with his own boxing combinations.
The pair continued to exchange elbows and hand combinations throughout the rounds. Nattawut continued to back Lessei up with his hand combinations as he opened up a cut. Lessei kept moving and returning with elbow strikes and sent Nattawut to the canvas with a teep as the second round closed.
In the third round, Lessei landed a huge elbow which dazed Nattawut as the fight seemed to be swinging in favour of the American, but it was a little too late as the fight came to an end after three rounds of battle.
Despite a strong finish to the fight from Lessei, the first two rounds was enough to earn Jo Nattawut the unanimous decision victory in a fight of the night contender.
