The 31st edition of ONE Friday Fights goes down this Friday, September 1. The 12-bout card includes 10 Muay Thai bouts, including a fiery female clash.
Below we highlight some of the top fights going down at ONE Friday Fights 31. Plus full details of the fight card and how to watch.
Kongthoranee vs Sherzod Kabutov
In the main event, Kongthoranee Sor Sommai is set for his fifth appearance of 2023. With 3 wins from 4 in ONE this year, Kongthoranee looks to extend his record to 4-1 when he faces Sherzod Kabutov this Friday.
Sherzod Kabutov is coming off back-to-back losses against Chorfah and Nakrob Fairtex in his last two outings. Don’t let his recent performances fool you, though. The 24-year-old from Kyrgyzstan is a dangerous athlete and possesses the qualities needed to ruin Kongthoranee’s night.
As for Kongthoranee, he currently sits on 7 points in our ONE Power Rankings. A win would see him enter the overall top 20. A stoppage victory of any sort could even see him creep into the top 10.
Alaverdi Ramazanov vs Alessandro Sara
Former ONE Kickboxing champion, Alaverdi Ramazanov, is back in action this weekend. The dangerous Russian striker is also coming off back-to-back losses in 2023.
He lost a title bout to former champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao at ONE Friday Fights 1 in January. He then took a unanimous decision loss to Mavlud Tupiev in March.
He will look to get back to winning ways in what will be his twelfth overall appearance in ONE Championship. He takes on the ‘Italian Ferrari’, Alessandro Sara, who makes his second appearance in ONE this weekend.
Nongam Fairtex vs Francisca Vera
Kicking off the Muay Thai bouts this Friday will be a Catchweight Female bout. After her explosive first round knockout of Lisa Brierley in July, Nongam Fairtex will return to face Francisca Vera.
Seemingly, Vera—who is coming off a loss to Lisa Brierley in her last bout—faces an uphill challenge in this one. The Chilean has heart, though, as shown in her second round stoppage of Gusjung Fairtex in February.
