ONE Championship returns to Japan for the third installment of its Japanese series – ONE SAMURAI 3, which takes place inside Yokohama Buntai in Yokohama, Japan, on September 12.
Thus far, the organization has confirmed three battles for the spectacle. Reigning ONE atomweight Muay Thai world champion Nadaka makes his promotional kickboxing debut in an atomweight clash against Har Ling Om, former ONE flyweight MMA world champion Yuya Wakamatsu collides with Willie van Rooyen in a flyweight scrap, while Shimon Yoshinari goes toe-to-toe with Suablack Tor Pran49 in a flyweight Muay Thai battle.
Now, two more thrilling matchups – one apiece in flyweight kickboxing and atomweight Muay Thai – have just been added to the card.
Hyu vs. Hyuma Hitachi
Hyu heads into this flyweight kickboxing contest determined to bounce back from the first defeat of his career. The 23-year-old Japanese sensation had torn through his first five appearances on the global stage, with four of those wins coming via knockout – dismantling the likes of Leandro Miranda, Zakaria El Jamari, Jordan Estupinan, and Suablack.
That perfect run came to a halt at ONE SAMURAI 1 back in April, where fellow countryman Taiki Naito outworked him across three rounds inside Tokyo’s Ariake Arena. The young gun brought his trademark weapons into the fight, but the Japanese veteran had an answer for everything the young gun tried. Now, Hyu returns hungry to remind the world exactly why he is considered one of the brightest strikers of this generation.
Waiting for him on fight night is a Japanese kickboxer who arrives armed with a determination to prove he belongs inside the ONE Circle. The 28-year-old is a Target Shibuya representative who loves to press forward from the opening bell. The promotional newcomer uses plenty of feints to trap opponents inside the pocket before tagging them with shots from every imaginable angle.
Hyu’s improvisation-heavy style should make for an intriguing contrast against Hitachi’s boxing-first approach. The Japanese contender likes to create angles as the fight unfolds, while the promotional newcomer prefers to close the gap immediately and control the pace with his hands.
Ryuya Okuwaki vs. Chokdee Maxjandee
Ryuya Okuwaki, a four-time Muay Thai world champion, gets the chance to improve his ONE Championship record to a perfect 4-0 on home turf. The 25-year-old EIWA Sports Gym product enters the contest riding an eight-fight winning streak built on explosive speed, pinpoint precision, and a killer finishing instinct.
The Yokohama native has been unstoppable since making his promotional debut in August 2025. First, he detonated a second-round head-kick knockout of Nueaphet Kelasport. Then, he outpointed Pet Suanluangrodyok via unanimous decision to build momentum. Most recently, he folded Hern Looksuan with a wicked body-shot barrage in the second round.
Chokdee, however, is the exact kind of Thai destroyer built to test Okuwaki’s momentum. The 28-year-old Sor Sommai and Wor Wiwatthananon affiliate arrives at this atomweight Muay Thai fight with a 63-21 career record and has already piled up three knockouts across his five wins under the ONE Championship banner. His most recent finish came against Mahesuan Aekmuangnon at ONE Friday Fights 141.
