Rajadamnern Stadium (Thai: สนามมวยราชดำเนิน) is a Muay Thai Boxing stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Rajadamnern Stadium is one of two main stadiums for modern Muay Thai, along with Lumpinee Stadium.
The stadium was build between 1941-1945 and opened its doors for the first time on December 23, 1945.
Still to this day, the annual Rajadamnern Stadium Birthday is celebrated with one of the biggest Muay Thai fight cards of the year, featuring many of Thailand’s elite Muay Thai fighters.

History
Rajadamnern Stadium was commissioned in 1941 under the orders of Field Marshal Plaek Phibunsongkhram, the Prime Minister of Thailand at the time. Construction was halted due to World War II, but resumed in 1945, with the first fight taking place on December 23, 1945. The stadium was originally an open-air venue, but a roof was later added to accommodate larger audiences.

In recent years, Rajadamnern World Series (RWS) has elevated the stadium’s reputation by introducing a tournament format, attracting global attention. RWS events blend traditional Muay Thai with modern production, creating a unique fight night experience for fans worldwide.

Rajadamnern Stadium is located in Pom Prap Sattru Phai District, Bangkok, near major landmarks such as the Grand Palace and Khao San Road. It is easily accessible via public transport, including taxis, buses, and tuk-tuks. The stadium offers both ringside and general admission seating, with tickets available online and at the venue.
Immersive Experience in 2024
In December 2024, Rajadamnern Stadium removed the iconic ‘chessboard’ style lighting above the ring. In a movement to modernise the stadium, they introduced a LED dome around the ceiling of the venue, which debuted on December 21, 2024.
