Daniel Rodriguez became a two-time RWS Muay Thai tournament champion today when he defeated Rittewada in the Super-Welterweight final.
Billed as the ‘Fight of the Year’, it lived up to expectations as both fighters had their moments.
Although it was a back and forth battle in the opening few rounds, Rodriguez put his foot on the gas in the fourth round and overwhelmed Rittewada with his boxing combinations and elbows.
He opened up a cut on the bridge of Rittewada’s nose, who was in survival mode for the remainder of the round and the fight.
By the end of the fifth round, it was clear Daniel Rodriguez had did enough to earn the victory. He now becomes a two-time RWS Muay Thai champion after winning the tournament back in 2022.
