Another huge fight card is locked in for RWS Muay Thai on Saturday, October 7. Today, RWS Muay Thai released the main card which features 6 bouts — 2 of which are tournament finals and 1 Rajadamnern Stadium title bout.
Alfie Pearse could make history
British rising prospect, Alfie Pearse, has been given the opportunity of a lifetime. On just 4 days notice, he has replaced Adam Noi in the Rajadamnern Stadium title bout against Jom Parunchai.
Originally from Team Jai Dee in Hertford, Alfie Pearse now resides in Bangkok where he trains under JP Gallacher at Sor Dechapan Gym. Unbeaten in his short career, Pearse struggled to find opponents in the UK and now pursues is dreams in the motherland.
“Always ready”, Alfie told us, as he accepts a matchup on 4 days notice. The bout against Jom Parunchai will be for the Rajadamnern Stadium Lightweight title. A feat no other British Muay Thai fighter in history is yet to achieve.
Yodwicha vs Thananchai
Yodwicha took a controversial decision win in his trilogy bout against Daniel Rodriguez in the semi-final last month. In the other half of the bracket, Thananchai upset Petchmorakot to earn his spot in the final.
Yodwicha recently exchanged words with Daniel Rodriguez regarding the result of their bout. He promised when he becomes champion, he will rematch Rodriguez champion vs champion to settle it once and for all. However, he first faces a touch challenge in Thananchai, who eliminated one of the tournament favourites in his last bout.
