What a title fight we witnessed between Samingdet Nor Anuwat and Savvas Michael at Rajadamnern Stadium on Saturday, July 13.
Current champion Samingdet successfully defended his Lightweight title in a razor-close battle against the Cypriot, who many believed should’ve been given the nod.

The pair traded back and fourth over the first four rounds, with the judges unable to separate them — under open scoring it ended up 38-38 going into the last round.
Despite Samingdet causing more damage with his kicks and elbows, Savvas was finding a lot of success in his counter striking and volume punches.
In the end, though, all three judges scored it 48-47 in favour of Samingdet who retains his Rajadamnern Stadium title.
He improves to 4-0 in RWS Muay Thai in 2024 after his second successive title defence.
Despite the loss, Savvas won the hearts of the fans for his performance and many are calling for a rematch between the pair.
