As Savvas remained grounded showing visible pain, the referee Elias Dolaptsis instantly stopped the action.

The 20-year-old took to social media earlier today to reflect on the fight;

This afternoon, WBC Muaythai published a post on their social media pages wishing Savvas a speedy recovery, and confirmed the Cypriot was infact scheduled to fight for the vacant WBC Muaythai Lightweight title at Lumpinee Stadium on 10th September.

Rest assured, Savvas’ dreams will live on as the WBC added that his opportunity at WBC gold will come again.
