Jonathan Haggerty vs Rodtang Jitmuangnon

In at #3 of the Top 5 bouts was Jonathan Haggerty‘s Flyweight Muay Thai World title bout against the ‘Ironman’ Rodtang Jitmuangnon.

The bout lived up to all the hype and the bout could have gone either way, but it was the knockdown from Rodtang that ultimately won him the championship.

Bangpleenoi vs Liam Nolan

Liam Nolan‘s return to ONE Championship for his second bout was named #4 in the Top 5 Bouts. The UK #1 took last minute fight against Thai phenom Bangpleenoi Petchyindee Academy.

Nolan started off well with some heavy boxing combinations and low-kicks. The bout went the distance and was extremely close to call, but the WMC World Champion Bangpleenoi got the nod form the judges.

Santino Verbeek vs Juan Cervantes

Juan Cervantes burst onto the ONE Championship scene for his first fight of his six-fight deal when he faced Dutch kick boxer Santino Verbeek last month, which has been voted #5 in Q3.

After a shakey start, taking an eight-count from a heavy right hand in the first round, Juan started to turn things round in the second with his boxing and low-kicks.

In the third round, knowing he’d need a knock-down to stand a change of winning, Juan released a relentless barrage of attacks, landing a sensational jumping knee which would’ve knocked most opponents down, but the Dutchman stayed on his feet and survived the round to take a majority decision.
