The first-ever ONE Championship event at Lumpinee Stadium will go down on Friday, January 20. Earlier today, sources revealed the full fight card for ONE: Lumpinee 1.
The stacked card will feature 12 bouts; 10 of which are Muay Thai contests accompanied by 2 MMA bouts.
In the main event, reigning ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai champion, Nong-O Gaiyanghadao will defend his title for a record seventh time. He takes on challenger, Alaverdi Ramazanov, who is coming off a split-decision win over Capitan PetchyindeeAcademy.
Elite Muay Thai star, Kompetch Sitsarawatsuer, will make his ONE Championship debut in a Strawweight Muay Thai contest against former champion, Prajanchai PK.Saenchaimuaythaigym. The pair have met twice previously on the elite Muay Thai scene, with both earning a victory each in their two bouts in 2020.
Elsewhere, Seksan Or.Kwanmuang will also make his first appearance in ONE Championship. He takes on dangerous Australian striker, Tyson Harrison.
Perhaps one of the biggest bouts on the card for UK fans, however, will be the debut of Josh Hill. Just days after we revealed Josh Hill as the Fight Record ‘Fighter of the Year’ 2022, his ONE Championship debut has been revealed. The Majestic Gym star will take on Iranian fighter Keivan Soleimani in a Lightweight Muay Thai contest.
When asked about his ONE Championship debut bout, Josh said;
“I can’t wait to fight on the biggest promotion in the world and get the opportunity to fight alongside the world’s elite fighters.”
