Current GLORY Kickboxing Featherweight champion, Petchpanomrung Kiatmoo9 makes his 8th title defence at GLORY 93 this weekend.
‘Petch’ defeated Robin van Roosmalen all the way back at GLORY 59: Amsterdam in September 2018 to win the title.
Since then he’s successfully defended the crown seven times during his six-year reign.
In between GLORY Kickboxing Featherweight title defences, Petchpanomrung stepped up in weight to challenge for the Lightweight title.
He lost the opportunity to become a two-weight champion against Tyjani Beztati in March 2023.
Additionally, between GLORY Kickboxing title defences, he’s also made a handful of appearances on RISE in Japan.
Petchpanomrung vs Kento Haraguchi
He beat Kento Haraguchi twice in 2021 and 2022 — the second time for the inaugural RISE Super-Lightweight World title, which he subsequently lost to Chadd Collins in December 2023.
Petchpanomrung will now meet Kento Haraguchi for a third time, but this time under the GLORY Kickboxing ruleset and with his Featherweight title on the line.
Ironically, Kento Haraguchi’s only two losses in the past seven years were his two fights against Petchpanomrung.
Boasting a high knockout rate, Kento has won his last four straight fights—beating Serhiy Adamchuk, Anvar Boynazarov and current GLORY Kickboxing #1 ranked Featherweight, Abaraham Vidales.
