Liam Nolan is a Muay Thai fighter from London, UK, training at Knowlesy Academy alongside fellow ONE Championship fighter Jonathan Haggerty.

In October 2018, Liam Nolan defeated Connor McCormack to retain his Thai Fighter UK #1 spot.

Less than two months later, he beat Thai star Noppakao Kor.Kasanon to win the Roar Combat League World title.

His achievements throughout 2018 earned him the domestic accolade of Thai Fighter UK ‘Fighter of the Year 2018’.

In March 2019, Liam Nolan made his ONE Championship debut against Kickboxing star Enriko Kehl at ONE: REIGN OF VALOR. He lost the bout via stoppage.

Nolan would then return to the ONE Championship in August 2019. He faced Petchyindee’s Bangpleenoi in a Muay Thai bout at ONE: DREAMS OF GOLD in Bangkok. After a close three rounds, the judges awarded a majority decision to the Thai, Bangpleenoi.

Three months later, Liam Nolan made his third appearance in ONE Championship, and finally got his first win when he defeated Brown Pinas via Unanimous Decision at ONE: EDGE OF GREATNESS in Singapore.

In early 2021, Liam Nolan flew to Thailand to begin training at PKSaenchaimuaythaigym. He had a fight scheduled at Lumpinee Stadium, but Bangkok and the surrounding areas went back into lockdown, forcing events and gyms to shutdown.

He returned to the UK and would be scheduled to face Owen Trykowski at YOKKAO 50. Trykowski would get injuredand withdraw from the bout just four days before the scheduled date.

After his misfortune during the COVID-19 pandemic, it seemed things got better for Nolan as he was matched to face four-time WBC Muaythai World champion, Youssef Boughanem, in Belgium. But the pandemic would get the better of Nolan’s fortune again, as travel restrictions forced a withdrawal.

Finally, after multiple cancellations, Liam Nolan returned to the ring at his home show Roar Combat League, where he stopped Amadeusz Sakowicz with a first round knockout.

On 12th October 2021, it was announced Liam Nolan was re-matched with Youssef Boughanem. The pair are set to meet at Real Fighters A Night 2 Remember in Netherlands on 7th November 2021. He defeated Youssef Boughanem via split decision, earning the WBC Muaythai Middleweight World title and becoming the first man to beat Boughanem under Muay Thai rules since 2015.
