The opening day of the Baltic Muaythai Open took place in Vilnius, Lithuania today with no fewer than nine of the Team GB squad with matches in their respective categories. Kicking off at around 10.30am local time, Team GB’s Josh Shaw was the first up in Ring A which was streamed live on the European Muaythai Federation Facebook page.

- Josh Shaw beats Amandas Bielskus (LIT) via points (30-27). Josh moves on to face Ivan Konnari (CYP) in the semi-final tomorrow.
- David Sinclair beats Daniil Dzemianchuk (BLR) via points (30-27). He faces Lithuania’s Ernastas Malinovskis in the final on Sunday.
- James Fairhurst beats Uladzislau Dzinhaliou (BLR) via points (30-27). He moves on to the final against Danila Zakhvitsevich tomorrow.
- Corey McLachlan beats Pavel Sadouski (BLR) via points (30-27). He faces Timofej Sidorov in the final on Sunday.
- Mark Cuggy beats Daniil Kaspiarovich (BLR) via points (29-28). He moves on to the final against Lithuania’s Aleksandras Kapanadzė tomorrow.
- Anya Carter beats Axana Depypere via 3rd round stoppage. She will face team-mate Charlie Louise Pritchard in the final tomorrow.
- Joe Ryan beats Ilya Vasilko (BLR) via points (30-27). He faces Estonia’s Emil Dzafarov in the final tomorrow.
- Ryan Stockley lost to Matas Pultaražinska (LIT) after the referee stopped the contest due to head injury in the first round.
- Phoebe Illot advances to the final after her opponent Gintarė Gutauskaitė (LIT) retired. She faces Zoiro Michael (CYP) tomorrow.
