Lumpinee Stadium, September 12 — Today, ONE Championship boss, Chatri Sityodthong, held a historical press conference at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Last week, Chatri Sityodthong took to his social media to tease the announcement. He met with General Narongpan Jitkaewthae, the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, to discuss the partnership between The Royal Thai Army and ONE Championship.

“Muay Thai is Thailand’s national treasure”, the ONE Championship CEO added. He continued, “As the CEO of the world’s largest stage of martial arts and now as the main promoter of the legendary Lumpinee Stadium, I promise to do my best to lead our industry to its greatest heights. I hope to work with all promoters, gym owners, and athletes of the Muay Thai industry everywhere around the world to build a prosperous future together.”
