Aberdeen-based Muay Thai fighter Owen Trykowski has recently spent another training stint at the highly-rated Sitmonchai Gym in Tha Maka District in Thailand.
Having looked strong and sharp in recent training footage, the former UK Super-Middleweight #1 carried the momentum into his bout at MAX Muay Thai in Pattaya earlier today, stopping Buanguen Kaaisansukgym with an elbow KO in the first round.
Plagued by injury recently, Trykowski made his return to the ring back in November when he beat Jackson Barkhouse for the WBC British title, taking the #2 spot in the 72.5kg rankings.
Now notching up two strong wins after a 12-month absence, Trykowski is confident of he’s ready to take on the whole 72.5kg division when he returns to the UK. He took to social media after his win at MAX earlier today to say;
“The UK 72.5kg division should be worried, I’m coming to hurt each and every one of you.”
Trykowski will be back in action in the UK at Glasgow Rebellion on 5th April, when he faces Lumpini Crawley wonderkid George Jarvis, the current 72.5kg #9 who is riding a strong active win-streak and coming to continue his rise up the rankings.
