Brazilian female Muay Thai fighter Maria Eduarda put the Women’s Bantamweight division on notice earlier today.
She put on another flawless performance, dominating the former title challenger Sevgi Dogan.
Mari Eduarda beats Sevgi Dogan
In the opening round, Eduarda landed a crushing left elbow, dropping the Turkish fighter to the canvas.
Sevgi looked like she grimaced in pain from the strike, but was able to get to her feet and make the count.
Although she looked like she was making her way back into the fight in round two, it wasn’t enough to sway the judges decision.
Maria Eduarda cruised to victory, scoring 30-26 on all three judges scorecards.
A new challenger at 118lbs
She now improves to 2-1 in RWS Muay Thai in 2024 and puts the 118lbs division on notice.
Surely a victory of this magnitude is enough to see her qualify for the RWS Muay Thai Women’s Bantamweight tournament.
