This past weekend, Mo Abdurahman faced Jack Kennedy in an epic main event clash at VICTORY 7.
The 65kg contest, which was one of the most anticipated match-ups at the VICTORY double-event weekend, was a crowd-pleaser from start to finish.
In his typical unorthodox style, Mo Abdurahman slipped and moved with his boxing and low-kicks.
Despite the volume of strikes, it was clear from Kennedy’s reaction they were having little affect.

In the middle rounds, Jack Kennedy managed to drag Abdurahman into the clinch; exactly where he wanted to be.
Driving his trademark knees into the midsection of Abdurahman, Kennedy found success throughout rounds 3 and 4.
The fifth and final round seemed to be the decider however.
Mo Abdurahman began to find his range again and was the more active fighter, resulting in a majority decision win for the Southampton-based fighter.
Less than 24-hours later, Mo Abdurahman’s next bout was announced. He is set to face rising star Nico Carrillo at Combat Fight Series on 17th July.

The pair have been on a collision course for over a year now. Originally scheduled as the main event at VICTORY in May 2020, the event was cancelled due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
Nico Carrillo, who was scheduled to face Craig Coakley at VICTORY 6 this past weekend, was forced to withdraw from the bout due to a hand injury.
Allowing the injury to heal, as opposed to continuing with training and risking further damage, has afforded the Scottish Muay Thai star a quicker return to the ring.
After the win over Jack Kennedy at the weekend, Mo Abdurahman will be coming into this bout on six fight win-streak, with three of those wins coming by way of knockout.
Can the constant pressure and volume of striking be enough to earn another win when he faces Nico Carrillo however, or will the strong and powerful striking of the Scotsman derail Abdurahman?
